Tempo and New Piece
This week I have been working on maintaining a better tempo with "Beauty and the Beast." I am still looking for another piece to begin preparing for the recital but I keep finding pieces too difficult with convoluted chords and fast beats that I can't keep up with. I tried "What's This?" from The Nighmare Before Christmas and "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, but their too difficulty. Anyone know any good places to find more beginner friendly music? Thanks!

Try google searching "easy piano sheet music be our guest" or whatever piece you're looking for. I found this piece http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/mtd.asp?ppn=MN0089782 but it only gives you a one page preview unless you pay for it. If you'd prefer free music, add "free" to your search, but know that it is often harder to find quality sheet music for free.

Anyone else have suggestions of where to find music? Anyone have luck on a particular website?
ReplyDeleteWell I have my beginner book, so those are helpful but sometime silly songs not pieces. I also have modified my sheet music in the past to cut some complicated stuff out. If you like disney stuff, I know there are (now bear with me) a lot of childrens disney piano books that have the music, not coloring pages. I would look into those on Amazon, my friend has one and we learned how to play a lot of things but in a more simple and straightforward fashion. I know it feels silly to play such simple music but as a beginner it really helps
