New pieces-Midterm

Same as always, the main problem I've been having in readying my songs revolves around getting my hands to coordinate.  I've been working on three separate songs, Divenire, Nuvole Bianche, and "Sad," and I feel progress being made.

Additionally, relying solely on sheet music continues to be a large problem, as I usually rely on ear to decipher songs.  Working backwards has proven slightly more beneficial, though in the long run working from the beginning would make far more sense.

The time spent in the piano lab has proven to be a god send, the extra time really helps me to coordinate my hands, where as deciphering sheet music can potentially be done elsewhere, though it is obviously a big help.

  1. I'm so glad you're allowing yourself to learn from the music. You already have a great ear, so strengthening your music reading will help round you out as a musician.

Starting from the end is a great technique! It forces you to use the music, as it isn't always obvious just by looking at the music what it will sound like.

    Keep up the good work!
