I started incorporating sustain pedal into my piece and it definitely sounds more fluid. I am also trying to not "bend" my fingers backwards. The tradeoff is that I'm not 100% comfortable yet with these adjustments. I noticed some dragging in tempo and near missed notes, but I have faith I can clean that up in one weeks time. Enjoy!
Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteIt's always tough to step outside your comfort zone and make adjustments, but it makes the piece sound better in the long run! It sounds great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments, Frankie and Dan! Specifically what Dan said- any time you add something new to your playing, it will often make the other skills that you were comfortable with seem harder. You're focusing on important things- your fingers look much more comfortable, and I like the effect of the pedal. Keep up the good work!
